Sometimes circumstances oblige you to put your phone into silent or vibrate mode – and this is often a bothersome task, requiring you to go into your settings and modify the mode there. Silent is a very useful app that'll let you change the mode without trawling through the settings on your Android – and change it as often as needed.

The gameplay in Silent couldn't be easier; open the app and select any of the three available options: silent, sound, or vibrate. Tap any of the options and the device automatically goes into that mode and won't come out until you switch it back in the app or directly in your settings. Nothing else needed; you open Silent, tap the desired mode, and in less than two seconds the task is done.

Silent is a very useful tool for day-to-day use. Activate the silent mode when you're in class, the office, the movies, the theater ... put the sound back on when you're out and about or put it in vibrate mode if you prefer not to hear your normal ringtone and simple want your mobile device to vibrate.
